Michael Miller has been quietly carving out a following around his home base of Los Angeles and touring the U.S. and UK while sharing the stage at larger venues with the likes of Lloyd Cole, Evan Dando, Minnie Driver, Maria McKee, and Daniel Lanois.
Winner of the 2003 DIY MUSIC FESTIVAL "SONG OF THE YEAR" for the song "Lover I know".
The title track "When We Come To" features Lyle Workman (BECK, Frank Black, Jellyfish). Additional strongman juice from Aaron Smith (drummer on many of the Temptations records - including 'Papa Was A Rolling Stone'), Mike Roe (the 77s, the Lost Dogs) Joe Craven (Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Stephane Grapelli). Miller co-produced the album with wonderlad, Joe Ongie.

"If it weren't such a clich one would reach for such puerile comparisons as 'Miller is a male Joni Mitchell'; it is a clich, and it is puerile, it's also entirely apt."
[LOGO Magazine UK]
"Those who have rightly mourned Jeff Buckley's passing, should check out Michael Miller and judge him on his merits. Several times throughout "When We Come To" I was reminded of the way that Buckley could within the frame of sparely plucked guitar, create reclusive little hymns.
Miller songs pull you in to an almost meditative depth and recall much of Buckley's disquieting surrender to beauty."
[Terry Sawyer - Music-critic.com]
"Miller's voice has an otherworldly sweetness like that of Radiohead's Thom Yorke."
[Miles Of Music]
"Such experimentation imbeds Miller's compositions with a hushed beauty...Miller's ghostly voice guides each song to the edge of emotional eruption."
