It features the vibrant fiddle playing of Cady Finlayson, enhanced by the artistry of some of Nashville's top musicians: Elkin Brown-acoustic guitar, Hunter Lee-uillean pipes,tin whistle, Jim Roberts-percussion, Tim O'Brien-mandolin, Kevin Ryan-bagpipes, Dan Immel-double bass.
Cady Finlayson's musical background includes classical training (Mannes College of Music), Irish fiddling, and a deep connection to the American folk music of her childhood.
She has performed in 24 states and at Irish festivals across the country. Her band is based in New York City, and includes Irish singer Honor Finnegan, Kyle Sanna (guitar), Tim Alworth (bodhran).
Cady Finlayson is also the fiddle soloist for the Police Pipes and Drums of Bergen County, performing in their shows at Cleveland's Palace Theatre, The Jacob Javits Center, and Carnegie Hall as part of the NYPD Memorial Concert. Her latest CD, Harp and Shamrock, features traditional Irish tunes with worldbeat influences, and is also available at CDbaby.
