Description
In the Spring of 2003 Ludo performed their lyrically-driven, harmony-based, power-pop rock 'n roll at upwards of 70 shows in over 30 cities across the country. Armed only with a van, 2 ferrets and a DIY 3-song demo, the band played to audiences in venues ranging from auditoriums to coffeehouses, abiding by only one rule - play every night!
With fans of the live show hot on their trail the band decided it was time to record. Ludo entered the studio that summer determined to create a take-home version of the exciting sound. They enlisted producer Jim Callahan from their hometown of St. Louis and began work on their first full-length effort with the same wreckless perfectionism that marks all that Ludo does. The self-titled album is also the first release of St. Louis-based independent label Redbird Records and captures the energy and aptitude that is Ludo.
