Description
I have been playing didgeridoo since 1994 and Middle-Eastern frame drums since 1998. I have performed at Seattle's Folklife Festival, and at other events in Oregon, Washington, and California, and have been featured at retreats in Oregon, Washington, California, Arizona, and New Mexico.
My performances include a mixture of solo didgeridoo, solo percussion, and audience participation pieces that include vocals and percussion, and also give a short presentation on the history of the instrument and how different sounds are made.
I played with the World-Beat ensemble Breath of Lightning for five years, from March 1997 to Marc 2002, when it disbanded. I am now a member of Alternate Destination, featuring didjeridu, middle-eastern percussion, flute, and guitar.
I am currently working on a CD of duets and trios. Other instruments will include violin, saxophone, Native American flute, various percussion instruments, guitar, and perhaps some others. This CD should be ready this fall.
