Description
Emily Richards, best known as MP3.com's most downloaded artsit (2.3 million) continues to pioneer Indie pop/rock music. She formed and is currently on tour with AWAKE Community, a nonprofit organization reaching out on human issues through music and the arts. (www.awakecommunity.org)
The "You Give" album features "Do You Remember," the most downloaded song on the net for 2000 and closing credits song on the HBO movie "Red Letters," and the incredible love song "To Love You" that has been downloaded more than 750,000 times. Emily has released 9 albums on her own record label and headlined MP3.com's 50-City Tour.
"You Give" features thirteen well-crafted songs, all written by Emily. "You Give" paired Richards with the Grammy-winning producers John Jones (Duran Duran, Fleetwood Mac) and David Kershenbaum (Tracy Chapman, Tori Amos).
Richards began studying piano at the age of five and started songwriting at eleven. Emily is also an accomplished vocalist and dancer.
