Description
Singer/songwriter Katie Reider is recognized by the local and national music industry and is quickly making a name for herself. The 25-year-old Cincinnati native, now based in Columbus, OH, has sold thousands of her CD's.
Since the release of Katie's first CD, "Wonder," she has been performing with a variety of artists throughout the Midwest, including Melissa Ferrick, Michelle Malone, Catie Curtis, Antigone Rising and Ember Swift. "Pick what you like about the female folk scene and compact them all into one musician. Reider's definitely a VH1-style artist," says Ryan Horns of the Columbus Alive.
Katie describes her most recent release, "I am Ready," as "much more confident and bold music." Katie's work on "I am Ready" has been recognized by National Public Radio (NPR). She has also received 5 Cincinnati Area music awards.
Katie has done a number of nationally airing spots on the ABC television network, and two songs from "Wonder" were featured on the hit WB show, Dawson's Creek. As well, a song from her live disc, "No Retakes" (2000) was used on the Lifetime Television Network show, Strong Medicine.
Katie always reaches the crowd with her music.
