Description

Acoustic Son began at a Thanksgiving gathering in 1999 while singing improvs around the dinner table. They released their first CD in 2002 and their CD - Time in the Middle - was released in October 2004. Both CD's capture the strong vocal qualities of Ken Kingsbury, Carolyn Shaw and Mark Jacobson.

Acoustic Son is a San Francisco based band blending the style of
Fleetwood Mac with a taste of Dave Matthews for a uniquely enjoyable acoustic sound.

Acoustic Son has played many venues in the San Francisco area, including: 19 Broadway, Hotel Utah, the Bazaar Caf, Cafe du Nord, Pat O'shea's, Pioneer Saloon, Cafe Amsterdam, Ireland's 32, the Cannery, the Curve, Caffe Trieste, Rasellas, and Thee Parkside. Acoustic Son has also performed at many music festivals and fairs playing original music along with a wide range of covers, putting their distinct interpretations on songs from artists such as Sheryl Crow, Neil Young, Ben Harper, and many more!
