Description
Amateur Trash is, at this time, a studio band. All songs are written and performed by Nick Oliveto. Nick's wife, Laura, is producer. Amateur Trash is currently looking for a bass player, drummer and singer for future studio projects and live performances.
Amateur Trash started out over a decade ago when Laura first realized that Nick would never be a happy man if he didn't learn to play guitar. She bought him biographies of all the great guitarists. He found out that every last one of them had something in common ... they played the guitar all of the time. Years and years of arpeggios, double-stops and scales until one day they were guitarists. It took ten years until Nick was finally comfortable saying he was a guitarist. And that was in January of 2004.
2004 is when Oliveto Blues and On A Mission were written and recorded. After those two CDs, Nick started writing his bio. He will tell the world how an entire community conspired to drive Nick & Laura out of town if they brought that "f---ing n-word music" to their town. However, they will not leave town, even after death threats on two separate occasions. In fact, Nick & Laura have hired the exterminators to extract the spiders, and although Nick has put down his pen for now, it is only because the story isn't over yet. He's still got spiders up his ass. So until the final chapter is written, Nick is working on his next CD, entitled "When the Morning Speaks," due out in mid-2005. Stay tuned.
