Description
When he sings his trademark song, "One Man Band," Bob Cushing sings from the heart about what he knows best. Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Bob has performed at area clubs and bars at least five nights a week for the last fifteen years.
Bob is a fiery performer who captivates listeners with his powerful delivery of sincere lyrics, rousing guitar riffs and the occasional off-kilter joke. He is right at home on stage, and makes the audience feel like welcome guests.
To see Bob perform, you would think he was born behind the microphone. In fact, he started singing and performing as a teenager. He started out as a guitarist in several local bands and then struck out on his own with a successful solo career. He has opened for some very impressive bands over the years, including 38 Special, The Guess Who, Rick Emmit, Lonnie Mack, April Wine and countless others.
Bob's first album, "I've Never Heard of You Either" was well received by his fans and the press, but it was his second release, "Now That We've Met," that really struck a chord. "Shock Value Music Webzine" said "Bob's rugged voice, and gifted fingers combined with his heartfelt lyrics electrify his classic style." And, "The WestSider" recently wrote: "His gravely voice and lightning fingers deliver a sound that entices you to sing every word as if you were the one playing on stage... He's definitely a one man, in-your-face kind of rocker."
Now, with the release of his latest CD, "Step Aside," Cushing proves to be at the top of his game, once again, showing that he only gets better with age.
