Description
The Bright Side is Chris Wilhelm (drums), Jonathan Mattera (guitar), Tom Churchill (bass), and Chris Belmonte (vocals & guitar). From what we can tell from the music, their influences include, but are not limited to: Tom Waits, The Muppets, Neil Diamond, U2, Paula Abdul, Van Halen, and Willie Nelson.
This is one of those gems that we get here at CD Baby when we jump up and down and remember why we got into this gig in the first place. These guys show us that they can rock it loud and then also gently rock us to sleep with beautiful and moodful melodies and sounds. The lead vocalist specializes in words and mood as he carries us through a beautiful arrangement of mental pictures and feeling. The guitarist, Jonathan Mattera, plays like we put U2 and Velvet Underground in a blender then topped it off with the Pixies. The bass, Tom Churchill and drums, Chris Wilhelm are tightly knit together to push us through the song keeping our head in rythm with our feet. The recording quality is unbelievable for such a indie band.
We highly recommend this band and urge you to listen for yourself!
