The material is mostly originals, mine and one tune by LA-based trumpet player/bandleader DC Hall, but also features two standards: Polkadots and Moonbeams and Blue Skies. Some of the other material, such as "Stella by Bar Light"(which can be heard in its entirety on my website, along with Dos Guitarros) and the 2-part "Bawdy in Seoul" is obviously taken from the standard repertoire, while other tunes(Dos Guitarros=One Note Samba, Birthday Girl=All the things you are)are new melodies over standard changes, and somewhat less obvious. But it's all jazz and it's all good. Hope you enjoy Jazz Guitar Vol 2. I'm happy to say that Jazz Guitar Vol 2 has just enjoyed its first international sale on CD Baby(England).
Stay tuned for the release(later in '05)of Jazz Guitar Vol 3!
thanks,
Sam Crain
