Doug Simmers (Pastor & Worship Leader at Crossway Church) has taught and led worship at Vineyard Worship Conferences in the mid 90's. In the late 70's & 80's Doug & his brothers had a CCM band called "Daybreak" that opened for Russ Taff, Greg X. Volz (Petra), David & the Giants, & Eddie DeGarmo. They had 3 songs chart in the nation's top 20 of CCM before deciding to put recording aside for a while to raise families & become the Worship Team for Crossway Church.
Vince Leffler, an accomplished musician and recording artist from California, has played in numerous Christian and secular mainstream bands over the past 15 years. He moved to Memphis, found Crossway and his bride in 1992. Vince joined CWB in 1994 playing bass and guitars and in 1999 he began engineering & producing our music along with Tom Browning (bio coming soon).
CWB writes, performs, engineers and produces their original music in their own studio and on their own label, Save Your Soul Records www.sysrecords.com. A hard working team of professionals, CWB is also currently handling their own promotion, Web design, and booking via www.itdconcerts.com and online sales via www.worshipcds.com.
