Description
DJ Come of Age is on a mission with a cogent vision that will ultimately bring Neo Soul to the forefront! Allied with some of the best producers in the industry, he has succeeded in building a healthy library of mellow, soulful tracks. His latest offering is a collaboration with Swedish producers Soul Production. Titled "Hidden Souls 1", it is a healthy offering of soul, rhythm, and laid back grooves ! Featured on the six track EP are two sensational bands, Slowmo and Jahselle. These artists are receiving much attention in Europe and Japan and reached out to DJ COA to bring their sound to American shores!
"My aim remains tried and true: find the soul in the sounds. What I've learned is that every corner of the world has their own style, their own representation. When it comes to RnB music it's no different. Sound cliques exist in Baltimore, New York, Atlanta, Paris, Denmark, all over! Imagine if there were no borders or boundaries to hearing the music. My personal vision is to see the walls eliminated and give everyone an opportunity to experience sounds not familiar to their respective homesteads."
The unorthodox marketing strategy has been more than successful for DJ Come of Age. Aside from the free downloads he has spent much of the year contacting college radio stations and independent record shops to showcase his sounds. In a strange twist, the radio stations and shops are now contacting him. "It was only a matter of time. My producers and I know the market is huge for the neo soul sound. The songs are original and powerful, not commercial cover tracks. That's what sets us apart, the uniqueness of it all. We set out to push our music, our mixes and via the internet were able to share pieces of our vision. Soul Production from Sweden is a part of our global alliance. Sharing the same vision we have partnered on this project and others for the best in RnB music."
