Emily Richards is a musician, public speaker, activist & philanthropist. This Tribute album strikes at the very core of Emily's purpose as a musician. Richards, a singer-songwriter based in Los Angeles, is best known as the most downloaded pop/rock independent artist on MP3.com. Fueled by her life experiences, Emily's songs are emotional and intelligent.
Noted for her superior live performances, Richards was selected from 70,000 artists to headline the 50-city Club.MP3.com Summer 2000 Tour in partnership with the House of Blues. Tragically, it was near the end of this tour that Richards' baby sister, Annie, was killed by a drunk driver.
Since this tragedy, Richards has dedicated her art and energy to helping spread the "don't drink and drive" message, among other human issues, by forming AWAKE Community (Artists Working for Awareness, Knowledge & Education - www.awakecommunity.org).
