I crave radio-play!!!! Growin up in Texas And Louisiana, the radio was my best friend almost every day. There was always some song that helped me get through a particularly bad day or over some girl who'd dumped me.(Iwas always getting dumped). I grew up a nerd/geek/whateverelse you can think of. That never changed, even as I evolved into a guitar player.
All my material is recorded at home in a little room that faces the highway. You may hear trucks and cars rumble by. I like to get lost in the headphones from time to time and just create. I play all the instruments on all tracks except for some drum loops that are done on a keyboard. Other drum tracks are actually done on the same keyboard as it has several good kits onboard. I don't own a bass guitar but the rig I use has a vary good bass synth/sim. Some of the guitar parts are done live thru a crate stack and a peavey heritage thats on top of a marshall 4/12. Yes, I get a very high electric bill from time to time.
The first band I was in was in high school. Joel lopez was lead vocalist, Herman Cardona was bassist and backup vocalist, Roland Valdez was drummer, and I was guitarist and backup vocalist. We played a lot of parties and a talent show,(not as competition). We also recorded a demo at a studio in a nearby town.
The bassist and I were the music affectionados of the band. We collected and listened to many styles. He was also a guitarist, leaning more towards the blues than I ever did.
Some of my heroes are;
Randy Rhoads, Zakk Wylde,the late Dime, Liefson, Lynch, Mustaine, Vai, Satch, Eddie, the list has no end.
I believe music should take the listener some place.
I feel like I'm screaming out from nowhere. No one hears but I'll keep screaming. To be silent is to give up. It's not my job to make people care. God stopped giving people jobs a long time ago. It took me a long, long time to get my nose this far above the ashes of my life and I will not lie down under the wheels of the world ever agian.
If you got this far, thank you for hangin in there. If you go farther, God Bless you!
