Description
Kaylene Peoples is a talented singer songwriter and composer/arranger. She has an intense voice that profoundly affects her listeners. Her self-produced CD Rite of Passage deals with real life situations. Her lyrics are so heartfelt, that with each song, you feel like you're traveling through her very soul. Everyone can relate to the messages in this CD.
The arrangements are lush and the musicianship is impeccable. Kaylene is an accomplished flautist and is featured as a soloist on the two tracks "Human Frailties" and "Look My Way". Other notable musicians are Stephan Gibu on Bass, Mark Hammond on Guitar, Gerald Thompson on piano, Fernando Pullum on horns and a 12-piece string section featuring some of the top Los Angeles session players.
Kaylene is an award winning producer, having produced Christina Fasano's "Spiritually Wet", which won Best R&B Album of the year for the "L.A. Music Awards." She has music credits from American Pie 2, Serendipity, and selected tracks from her "Rite of Passage" CD have appeared in several movie sound tracks. She is also an accomplished film scorewriter composing and conducting musical scores for a variety of independent films including her own multi-award winning directorial debut film "Redemption."
