Name: Marcelo Trevio
Born: 5th April, 1977
Singer. Songwriter. Producer.
At 27, Marcelo recalls his dreams of perfoming since the age of 10. Songwriting has always been a part of who he is.
Marcelo started out as front man for different bands in Monterrey, Mexico. Monterrey has been the Mexican cradle of the eclectic and influential international alternative-music movement. It has given birth to household names like Kinky, Control Machete, Vaquero and Plastilina Mosh. Marcelo emerges as a pop singer/songwriter from a generation of influential musicians, writers and performers.
His interest in music was so compelling that Marcelo decided to leave his native Monterrey to study music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, U.S. He graduated with a dual major in Film Scoring and Songwriting.
His guitar and piano, instruments that act as extensions of himself, along with his writing and singing have guided Marcelo's life. Marcelo envelops the true meaning of being a 'musician'.
After college Marcelo left for Toronto, Canada, where he found his new home. He took part in independent music productions as producer and arranger. After that he traveled to Monterrey temporarily to be Director of the Cultural Activities department at the Instituto Tecnolgico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. It wasn't long before Marcelo missed creating music. So he left his job and traveled to Peru, where he performed and wrote tirelessly.
In his album 'Todo' he expresses his his ideas openly, finding in the process, his own unique voice.
After performing and travelling intensely, Marcelo returned home to Toronto to write, record and pre-produce most of what his first commercial solo artist album would be. Very soon after that Overhead Music in Monterrey, Mxico, gave him that opportunity.
Marcelo is currently on tour and promoting his first single "Nia" in Mexico, Canada, U.S. and Latin America.

A sus veintisiete, recuerda que desde que tena diez aos soaba con vivir en los escenarios.
Marcelo particip en bandas locales en Monterrey desde los 15 aos, una de ellas alcanzando notable popularidad a nivel local. Fue tanto su inters por la msica que Marcelo decidi salir al extranjero a estudiar y crecer como intrprete y compositor. Curs sus Estudios Musicales en Berklee College of Music - Boston, MA, EEUU.
Graduado - Dos carreras - Film Scoring y Song Writing.
Estudiante del Tecnolgico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey.
Con su guitarra, en el piano, componiendo, cantando, la msica lo ha llevado por la vida.
Al terminar la universidad, Marcelo se fue a vivir a Canad, Toronto, en donde particip en producciones musicales como arreglista y productor. Tiempo despus, regres a Mxico al ser contratado por el Instituto Tecnolgico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey como Director de Difusin Cultural para las 4 Preparatorias del rea metropolitana de Monterrey, pero extraando el escenario y su msica decidi dejar su trabajo y viajar a Per, a componer y presentar sus canciones.
En su lbum Todo ha plasmado sentimientos abiertamente, encontrando con ello su propia voz.
Al terminar esa gira y otras presentaciones en Toronto, la disquera OverHead Music en Monterrey le ofreci la oportunidad de grabar su disco "Todo" y presentarlo al pblico.
Actualmente, Marcelo se encuentra promocionando su primer sencillo "Nia" en Mxico y Estados Unidos.
