Description
This live EP was recorded at The Joint in Los Angeles, California on July 27, 2003. It was one of Frank's favorite performances, largely because he just had so much fun playing with Todd and Barry (formerly of "Charlie in the Box" and "Morag"). The onsite recording, thanks to soundman Frankie B. was so good, it just made sense to share it with as many listeners as possible.
FAN REVIEW
I think Barry's percussions and Todd's Bass and Vocals complement Frank's songs and style really well. I love the opening song "I'm Leaving You Behind" and the song "The Only Thing That's Real." They are new since the CD and both of them just show that Frank's stuff stays good and gets better. Of course Without A Doubt, Look Into My Eyes, Don't Ask Me Why and Two Hearts are already classics to me I listen to them so much. I think this acoustic version of Two Hearts may even blow away the full band studio cut. I love that sound that Barry creates on Don't Ask Me Why. Look Into My Eyes has great energy. That's always a good song. I wish I was at this show but I'm glad I'm getting to hear it on CD. The house sound guy did a great job capturing it. Thanks Frank for bringing this show back to the east coast for us.
