Description
Welcome to Attic Symphony's CD Baby page. The music of Attic Symphony can best be described as Classic Metal with a progressive edge. Fans of bands such as Scorpions, Fate's Warning and Savatage as well as those who are into the guitar virtuosity of Steve Vai and Joe Satriani will love this CD. Some of the more subtle moments also give a nod to Jeff Beck and David Gilmour.
The creative force behind the music of Attic Symphony is guitarist PJ Bussey. PJ is one of the former guitarists for the early nineties power metal juggernaut Armageddon, who's album "The Money Mask" was released worldwide to critical acclaim. After Armageddon, PJ went on to put together a progressive metal band called The Calm with his wife Ellyn on vocals and former Armageddon bassist Dan Wilkinson. Dan also played bass on Attic Symphony and much of the music revisits their pre-Armageddon days when they were in a band called Taker.
Prior to Attic Symphony PJ also put out another instrumental offering called "The Faultline Dance". While TFD is also heavily guitar driven, it's much more ambient and lush sounding and is very progressive in nature. To hear complete audio tracks from both CDs, visit the Attic Symphony website at www.atticsymphonyrocks.com.
In 2001, PJ was also recruited by Magnitude 9 keyboardist Joseph Anastacio to do the guitar work on the song "The End of the Beginning" on the Jason Becker tribute CD "Warmth In The Wilderness II released on Lion Records. He also played guitar for the rock band "Strangewax" who's "Chameleon" CD is available on CD Baby.
