Description
With the release of their first CD, Brazilian funk rockers Bat Makumba take their listeners on a percussive joyride through the rocky backroads of Brazilian popular music. Locals to San Francisco the band has mesmerized audiences with funked up interpretations of Brazilian music, always resulting in an irresistible dance party.
Bat Makumba's first CD is full of the original music and lively performances their fans have come to love. Spanning from Rio-style sambas to the maracatus and baies of the Brazilian Northeast, Bat Makumba create a fresh sound by injecting funk and rock into these traditional rhythms. Making a special appearance on the CD are Brazilian samba stars Velha Guarda da Mangueira for a special carnaval-style enredo.
Join the renegade carnaval party that is Bat Makumba!
