Description
"Very rarely do we get to hear a voice as unblemished and as full of wide-eyed awe and innocence. The best is truly yet to come from this young star." - Jed Ryan, jedryan.com
"Whether Budd presents quiet grooves ("Empty Day"), haunted musings ("Your Shadow"), or joyous, danceable pop ("Trying Here"), he gets into the heads of many different characters and wraps the music in orchestral arrangements. He can also lift you so high with the music, you may not realize how pensive the lyrics are. You can either let go and dance or sit and wander into the psychology of it all." - Jennifer Layton, Indie-Music.com

ABOUT THE ALBUM
The title song And So Here... is about a realization Bill had during his teen years. It's about realizing how much of an impact the culture and environment of your small town will influence who you are and then dealing with the pressure of getting out. And So Here... is Bill right before he left. Feeling a sense of relief knowing that there's more out there, but scared and overwhelmed at the same time. Bill's song More is a continuation of what would have happened if Bill gave in to his surroundings.
Fictitious themes play an important role on Bill's debut album. His song Tim deals with starting a new relationship with a younger self-assured man confident with whom he is and dealing with Bill's own insecurities. Your Shadow is a fictional story about one man's attempt to rebuild a city after a natural disaster. The final song on the album, Everything is about a girl singing to her father after she has been shot and crippled.
Bill describes his song Un-me as, "a fictional story, but I see a lot of myself in it. I remember in my mid 20's I thought I was so comfortable with who I was. Then I realized there was much of myself I was still hiding from, that I was still following blindly in a lot of ways, so I think I was channeling that when I wrote that song."
Relationships are important to Bill and his music explores the dynamics that are dealt within them. "Look at me darlin' and figure it out. I know my ego is big, but still and all. Look at me honey, if it's not too hard. We can, we can - we can," are the lyrics behind Drae Campbell's track Trying Here that deals with trying to keep a relationship together. Empty Day is about Bill's ten year relationship and dealing with the five year mark where you realize that neither of you are who you were when you first met. Bill's song Again is about reviving a relationship by trying new things and making plans with your partner for the future.
Bill uses a provocative mixture of truth and fiction to create a unique world of growth and discovery with music that shocks, reinvents and ignites passion for the listener.
