On the new record "ABOUT TIME", bandleader Greg Upton has fused his 15 years as a professional writer and musician with an eclectic, burning ring of musical virtuosos and songwriting partner Randall Andrews, to create a fresh batch of tunes that sink their hooks and teeth into the heart of the "American Music Idea" peppered with a matter-of-fact honesty that takes subjects such as love, loss and longing and turns them out with wit, integrity and a sly, "Cheshire Cat Grin". "it's all about the music," says Upton. "We spend countless hours writing, practicing, and recording because that's what we do. Whether we see any money from this or not, it's the passion that drives us to keep going. It becomes part of your identity. When you get down, you turn to your biggest influences and inspirations and it just pulls you back in, like it or not it's got you."
