Description
No More Waiting is a great mix of Hard Rock, Pop, Country, and Blues. The first CD recorded and produced by guitarist, singer and songwriter, Drew Vics, from New Jersey.
This seven track CD offers a catchy blend of music styles from country-pop to hard-rock and soft-rock, with clever lyrics and strong messages. Though the recording was done primarily by one man, the result sounds like music made by a band of varied musicians.
The first track, "Truth of the Matter," introduces a catchy country vibe that returns with a vengence on the track "Sorry" later on, and "Physics for Two" takes an interesting look at a relationship through the eyes of science.
Mostly rock with a country feel, No More Waiting also includes a raw, grinding hard rock tune called "Forty Winks" which features some excellent talk box leads including parts where the guitar sound actually talks adding impact to the overall mood of the song, and is a bit retro-classic-rock. Also changing up the overall vibe of the CD is the title track, "No More Waiting," which is jammed with some great grungy leads that wind around the grooves giving No More Waiting a real different, and edgy, blues sound. The CD finishes with a nice easy listening number called "Far Away," ready-made for the introspective and lover of smooth rock tunes that speak to the heart of being human.
No More Waiting is truly an original blend of influences, and the listener will find many musical passages reminiscent of classic rock while still imparting a fresh sound.
Drew performed and recorded all instruments on the CD, and arranged all sequences. John Frawley, Drew's long-time friend and musical partner, sat in and recorded piano parts for Sorry and Far Away.
