Description
'I know what's going on' is a great chill out album.
If you can imagine Eric Clapton bumping into Jeff Buckley after his unplugged shows and together they met Norah Jones and Jack Johnson, then you have some idea of what this CD sounds like.
It is a collection of twelve original songs recorded by Australia's foremost up and coming producer, Cameron McKenzie, a co-writer of the Androids hit 'Do it with Madonna' and producer and co-writer of Australian icon Mark Seymour's latest album.
Launched in November '03 to a full house at the Boite World Music Cafe, the album flows through a diverse range of styles and influences ranging from the rag time feel of the title track to the pop/country tinged 'Richer man'to the jazz feel of 'When I'm feeling lonely'.
'Henry the cat' will charm you, 'When I see you' move you and 'I can't stand in the rain' rock you! It all adds up to an album without a weak track.
Eddie Cole comes from the Dandenong Ranges east of Melbourne, Australia.
Eddie is a singer/guitarist in the vein of Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and Don McLean.
With a jazz tinged voice described as being like 'crushed velvet' and 'different and unusual' the themes of his songs are universal with lyrics cutting straight to the heart and guitar playing and song structure incorporating elements of folk, jazz, blues, country, and gospel.
