Revelation #9 was recently nominated for the 2004 Electronica Album of the Year by Just Plain Folks Musicians Network and his song Love 1 has been nominated for 2004 Electronica Song of the Year. The awards ceremony will be held in Hollywood, CA on Nov 7, 2004
This 9 track disc blends Jim's traditional thumping tribal drumming with elements of breakbeat, hip-hop, noise and loud gritty guitars.
Revelation #9 features special guest vocalists:
*Blowout (from Brooklyn NY's Turntable Anihilists)
and
*Liz Berlin (Rusted Root)
The disc was created between 2000-2003 in many states across the USA in Jim's mobile recording setup while on the road with Rusted Root. Revelation #9 was entirely performed, recorded, programmed, mixed and produced by Jim Donovan with the exceptions listed above.
