Description

For the past couple of years, Doug Munro has had the pleasure of playing a steady gig in a great Brazilian restaurant called Pantanals in Port Chester, NY. During that time, he developed a repertoire built specifically around the nylon string guitar.

Doug writes: "The gig at Pantanals has been a blast as well as a musically enriching experience for me. I know this CD represents a departure from my recent solo recordings, but I wanted to share this music with you in the hope that you might dig my slightly twisted take on the bossa nova and samba."

This recording features the incredible jazz and Latin talents of JAVON JACKSON (tenor sax), RAY VEGA (trumpet, rotary valve trumpet and flugal horn), HARVIE S (bass) and RICHIE MORALES (drums, percussion).
