Description
The NERVOUS CABARET, playing in New York as a quartette, take highly eclectic influences extending from 70's London punk, devotional vocal styling and Django influenced rhythm guitar, and smashes them together to create music which breaks apart the typical crossovers of Jazz and Rock music.
The song writing of frontman Elyas Khan, well known in New York for his theatrical performances and described by one fan as "royalty in dirty disguise," weaves a winding gothic-arched cobble stone path through the mind of the listener leading a journey to the underbelly of the city--be that London, New York, Bombay or Paris.
