Description
COUNTRY JANE (Track #1) was a weekly winner in the Nashville Song Search Contest in August 2004!!!!!
When my old man came home from his second-shift job, he often turned on the "Victrola" and slapped on Patsy Cline, Jim Reeves, Hank Williams Sr., and Ernest Tubb, just to name a few. So I guess you could say I sleep learned country music. Though I spent years in a rock 'n roll band, the whine of a steel guitar or the poignancy of sad lyrics never left me.
I dedicated the CD to my old man because he was the toughest man I ever met, and it seems someone needed to immortalize the guy in music. That was left for me to do.
This CD is about families in the past, some dead and gone, and about other families to come, and about dogs and faith and the heartland and love. Its just about the way things are...
My personal opinion: The dog song is worth the price of the CD. You'd have to meet Duke to appreciate the inspiration. He's quite a hound. Enjoy!
