Description
Miles Beyond is a Power Metal band, which was formed in October of 2002 in Flint, Michigan. It features the shredding guitar duo of Tim Moody and Paul O., with Tim Moody handling vocal duties as well. The thundering rhythm section includes Larry Moody on bass and Tod Fisher on drums.
Artists such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Manowar, Guns N'Roses, AC/DC, Yngwie Malmsteen, and The Beatles have inspired their sound. Their sound is very guitar driven with lots of harmonies and solos. The songs are pushed forward with powerful vocal melodies.
Much of Miles Beyond's time together has been spent writing, and recording their debut self-titled album, which was released in September of 2004. They play live shows regularly, sharing the stage with major international acts including Vince Neil of Motley Crue, Iced Earth, W.A.S.P. and Danzig. Their live show is just as energetic and entertaining as their music.
Miles Beyond is currently played on radio stations in the U.S., Europe and Asia. In their home state of Michigan, the famous Screamin' Scott Randall (formerly of Z-Rock) plays them regularly on WRIF 101.1FM in Detroit. They have been in-studio guests and are in regular rotation on the Hairball John Radio Show, heard internationally via the Internet, and have been invited back in the studio again.
Miles Beyond's music has also made it to the big screen as well. The band was heard in the feature film -Deadly Intuitions, by Equinox Productions in 2004.
