Description
Amlie started as a solo piano/voice singer in bars and pubs in Lyon, France. Then she met her 3 acolites; that's piano, double bass and accordeon players. She started touring over her region, then out all over France. She won many prizes as an author and composer.
Each time she had a gig, the audience was absolutely (and imediately) enraptured by the amusing side of her lyrics and the freshness and happiness she gave on the stage.
After a huge success at Printemps de Bourges (most famous festival in France) in april and the double prize at Montauban Festival (French authors & composers awards festival) she has just released her new album EP "Et Pourquoi les Crayons ?" and will be touring France, Swizerland, Belgium and, hopefully, Canada in 2004/2005.
The name 'les crayons' comes from an old classical French song by Bourvil, a character she loves to mention the talent and simplicity of.
