Description
Singer/songwriter Bob Chambers has been writing songs since 1970.
Bob's versatility as a singer and musician, along with his love of all styles of music has enabled him to gain the valuable experience and knowledge that allows him to offer his audiences a varied and exciting repertoire of music to suit all tastes.
Bob is a highly versatile musician, singer and songwriter with many years of experience in a wide variety of musical styles from R&B to C&W, Jazz, Ballads, and Rock 'n' Roll.
Born and raised in London, his musical career has covered a wide range from gigging in clubs in the U.K., France, Spain, Italy and Greece to involvement in music publishing.
From the mid seventies to mid eighties, Bob was very much involved with his own songs and concentrated most of his time writing and producing his own material. In 1977 Bob formed his own music publishing company "Bobsongs Music". During this time Bob played with many different bands as a bass player, covering Rock, Blues, Country and Irish music. He also sang and played guitar in the popular London club trio "Cue". Bob moved to Cumbria in 1987 where he sang and played guitar in R&B band "The Pitz", playing the clubs of the mining areas. He also played bass and keyboards with the Penrith based club band "4-Play". It was during this period that Bob became known as "Bob the bass", or as he is known today Bob D'bace.
In 1994 Bob returned to the South East of England, and now lives on the coast about 10 miles from Brighton, East Sussex.
Bob is still promoting himself as a singer/songwriter and performer under his real name of Bob Chambers, and so to avoid any musical confusion he promotes all of his instrumental material and jazz genre songs under the name of Bob D'bace.
