Description
Listening to Christopher Smith's autobiographical debut album will take you on a journey not unlike the journey we all ourselves are on. The journey encompasses dark moments of heartbreak, loneliness, and fear that are supernaturally transformed into beautiful and bright passages of love, comfort, and a peace that passes our reasonable understanding. At first Smith's lyrics relate to sensitive and obscure despair, but his songwriting talents are significant as he carries the listener beyond that. "I hope to show a provision for healing to broken hearts. My songs tend to be about the darker side of internal struggles, but with a clear vision of hope. That is how life is - our personal struggles with selfishness, pride, and our own inadequacies. But through all that we must believe in the power to be changed. I've seen it in my own life and countless others around me." This self revealing musical composition is Smith's attempt to invite us all to experience healing for ourselves. "The healing power of music is incredible. It's always been that for me, and for other people that I know as well."
Currently Smith, his wife, and children are in Amsterdam where his musical talents are enhancing his hunger to connect and make a positive difference for the Dutch people. "My greatest aspiration is that my music will lead others down their own path of healing and change."
Through Smith's twenty year love of guitar and impelling melodies his biggest influences have been that of The Beatles, John Hiatt, The Eagles and Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac. Smith's career has guided him to take his songwriting seriously for the last ten years where the combination of melody, harmony and lyrical depth will capture your desire to experience a reckoning for yourselves. Definitely one not to miss.
