Description
Dan Pound,
creator of sound worlds unlike any other. Fusing electronic and acoustic sounds together to create an ambient, sensual atmosphere that both excites and soothes the senses to the core. Upon hearing Dan's music, one is reminded of Steve Roach, Tangerine Dream, and Brian Eno, masters and pioneers of electronic music, yet Dan brings us his own flavor and style that is both pulsating and filled with beauty and longing. Journey forth, to other worlds and back as you experience the sounds of Dan Pound.
Dan on "Hummingbird's Dream"
"This music came about when I recorded the natural sound of a hummingbird feeding outside my studio window. The raw sounds of the buzzing and chirping through the headphones was enough to inspire anyone. I soon began sending the sound through filters, oscilators, and resonators and it became an instrument....vital in becoming the core of my next piece. You can hear the very "dry", in your face hummingbird sound on the last track around 20 seconds in. Then it shifts and changes to blend in with the soundscape.
The whole of the CD is in sequence, based on the theme of a hummingbird's day, from dawn to dusk."
