Description
Dave Miller resides in Western Michigan with his wife of twelve years, Kristin, and their two children, Seth and Sydney. He has been around music all of his life - playing in garage bands while growing up, studying (some) in college, and serving as a worship pastor for over a decade in both large and small churches all over the country.
His experiences are unique and as varied as the climates he has lived in - Kentucky, Las Vegas, and Michigan, but the commonalities of faith in God, family, and community, lived out through long conversations over coffee, have always been evident and shine through in his self-titled debut cd.
"We set out to make a nice five-song demo to give to mom," says dave. "I guess it kinda grew."
Growing is what Dave is doing these days. Playing around his area of Western Michigan in a local bar and grill, churches and coffee houses, he is slowing stretching out into into other communities. The response has been positive from his cd. Dave says, "I guess you expect family and friends to at least say they like it, but I've been surprised by the responses from total strangers at local restaurants and retail sales in the area." The single, "God and the good" has been added to rotation at a local radio station.
Recorded at Renaissance Studios in Short Hills NJ,produced by Steve Young, mixed in Manhattan by Ben Wisch, this project was fourteen months in the making and Steve, along with players Dave Owens, John Patitucci and some other friends certainly brought the best out of the songs.
"After listening to dave's cd, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of writing as well as the level of production." - Brian Nelson, Programming Director, WJQ FM, Grand Rapids

It's my hope that when people listen they get a sense that real life questions, in the context of an honest conversation (over a cup of coffee) can point you heavenward.
And of course, I hope they dig the tunes, too!
