Description
Hot Pinball Rock Vol. 2 comes inclusive inside of multiball magazine #22.
This tenth anniversay issue asks the question, "Pinball, Where are you now?"
The text itself contains answers from pinball industry experts, as well as a healthy dose of rock by way of features on labels, bands and artists and record reviews.
The compilation CD is a collection of 4 songs previously released as 7 inches with back issues of multiball and 9 unreleased submissions.
When you ask a band to "record a pinball song," you really don't know what you're going to get. Sort of like a game of pinball. The ball is wild. For the record, the "Hot Pinball Rock" series is not about putting out gimmick or novelty records. However, that risk is always there. multiball does not want to issue a collection of mindless "pinball fight songs." When we approach a band about doing a song for the magazine, the stipulation we present is that the song must in some way make a connection with pinball. In some way. The degree of that connection is left up to the band. On HPRV2, all manner of connections have been made. Love, history, mental breakdown and sweat-soaked flipper action receive direct or, in some cases, indirect, treatment on these thirteen songs.
