"Taqasim" is his first cd featuring original compositions that show the artist's diverse influences such as his native tunisian roots, yet never leaving the jazz-based improvisational formats...On this cd, Fawzi Chekili brings some jazz musicians from Holland to meet with tunisian talents. Fawzi plays a 175 gibson guitar, keyboards and the udg, a hand made string instrument of his invention. This debut cd has won Fawzi Chekili national and international acclaim.
