Description
After years of probing and working towards a personal aesthetic, Natural Hunger seemed to pull together the oppositions. My creative and practical selves worked in conjunction as I assembled the band, tightened up compositions, and negotiated a high-quality studio recording on a mid-range budget. In each session, the music evolved in a new direction, with the musicians always focused on interpreting the compositional expressiveness.
As a natural response, this music has drawn a wide range of comparisons, and though I am thrilled to have been influenced, the sound is truly original. Casting a personal trajectory of hope, contemplation and lament, Natural Hunger is both unique and thought-provoking.
