Description
The Paperbacks formed after the demise of the much-loved Winnipeg punk group The Bonaduces and have grown to include members from other groups such as the Mandarins, Hushfeed and Transister Sound and Lighting Co. While the Paperbacks are more a rock band than a punk band, the focal point continues to be the storytelling of the group's gifted lyricist and front person, Doug, now perfectly complimented by Jack (drums, vocals), Jaret (bass), Jay (guitar, vocals) and Tanya (piano, organ). The group's debut full length is available from Pshaw Records.
Wolf Colonel is the work of Jason Anderson - a 25 year-old singer-songwriter from South Sutton, New Hampshire - who has been recording for K Records since 1999. With a love of power-pop, lo-fi recordings, travel and passionate live performance, Jason is usually on the road, either alone or joined by friends. As a touring band, WC features mat Calderon on drums and Chris Miller on bass; the songs featured here are new studio recordings with this line-up.
