Joey sings about the experiences, strength, and hope gained from living in an alcoholic home where nobody's needs were met. Incest, domestic violence, neglect, and sexual abuse, were active hurdles along the gauntlet of this artists life - this survivor. But the beauty is that, through years of help in recovery programs and learing to love God, much of the pain of this experience has lessened. And the gift of helping others is being passed on through song.
