Description
'Easy Pieces' is the first widely distributed cd from the Minneapolis based band Lateduster. Formed in 1999 of Bryan Olson, JG Everest, Martin Dosh and Andrew Broder, they are multi-instrumentalists running live drums, bass, guitar, turntables and keys through samplers and effects that culminate in a stunning end result. Over the course of two and a half years, they've played many shows together in Minneapolis and put out four EPs and a self-released album, but unfortunately broke up in November of 2002 to move on to other projects. In the time since then they've been involved with many well renowned projects including Fog (Ninja Tune), Dosh (Anticon), Hymie's Basement (Lex), and Neotropic (Ninja Tune/Mush). So this collective's output is clearly not to be missed as Merck brings together some of their original recordings, newly re-mastered and mixed, with new artwork onto a full 50-minute album. This is the definitive look at Lateduster.
