Description
This band is from the Rep. of Panama and started in 1997, when it was called Big Fat Hen. Since the beginning until now, there has been many members in the band, the only original member is Jason Berger, who is the vocalist, guitarist, composer, and founder of the band. After 7 years of being in the market of Panama, this band has evolved a lot, and has produced 6 albums in total. Now the style of the music is more towards Alternative Rock with some elements of Funk and Jazz. After so many changes in the band line-up, and maturity in the music, the band decided to change it's name to Polyphase in 2003. The 5th album was called Big Fat Hen-Polyphase, which was the beginning of the name change in 2003. Now the 6th album called Polyphase-Atrophy, is actually the first album using Polyphase as the new band name. This band has had a few gigs in the U.S., like New York City, and Miami, also in Costa Rica and Jamaica, but they live in the Rep. of Panama, where they play all over all the time, and where they've won Best Alternative Rock band, and Best Video of the Year in the Panama Rock Awards of 2003. In the present Jason is playing with 2 of his old band members as a Trio. For more info. on the band visit: www.polyphase.net
