RAILBENDERS
If you like your country music the way you like your whiskey... straight-no-chaser... look no further than the Railbenders. Here you'll find tales of lovin', leavin', boozin', and hell-raisin'. The Railbenders' new original hard rockin' country sound and style recalls traditional country influenced by legends like Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings.
Originating in Denver in 2000, the Railbenders have become one of the most successful bands in Colorado. Westword (Denver's Alternative Weekly) deemed the band Denver's Top Country/Roots act in 2002, 2003 and 2004. The Railbenders were also honored by being named The Denver Post's Best of the Underground 2004, and the Rocky Mountain News "Top of the Rockies" 2004.
In 2004, The Coors Brewing Company branded the Railbenders with the coveted distinction of The Coors Original 2004 New Sound Throwdown Champions. The Coors sponsorship was a major achievement for the Band, making it one of only a handful of artists that Coors is currently backing.
The Railbenders' popularity has allowed the Band to open for a range of national acts including, Willie Nelson, Kenny Rogers, John Michael Montgomery, Charlie Daniels, BR-549, Nickel Creek, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, the Supersuckers, and 38 Special.
