Description
REARDON - the band based around US Pro Freeskier Matt Reardon. It all started in Munich, Germany late summer 2000 as a project between Matt Reardon and producer Joern Kachelriess from YearningRocks studios.
Recordings for movie productions from Thierry Donard (Nuit de la Glisse 2000 - 2002), Teton Gravity Research (Further) and a few other films from Red Bull (Best of Extreme 2002), Rip Curl (The Search pt 2 & 3) and Movie Night of Extreme Sports (2003, 2004) put the two straight into the mood. An invitation to play live at the London Daily Mail Ski Show in November 2001 markes the starting point for Reardon as a band.
In autumn 2002 the debut album was finished and in Feb. 03 ''Free From Code' hit the stores in Europe.

"Sitting at your desk, playing air guitar, shaking your head like a headbanger and kicking imaginary drum pedals. Looks stupid, but that doesn't matter as long as Reardon's debut album rotates in your cd player. Rock without endless leads and longhairy posers. Simply great music matched with Matt Reardon's impressive voice, which Eddie Veder from Pearl Jam really would have needed on his last album."

"...Never change a thing? If freeski professional Matt Reardon would have sticked to his neckbreaking runs, jumps and stunts, the post-grunge scence now would have missed a more than worthy album. The US American Chamonix/France resident used Creed's debut cd "My Own Prison" as a blueprint, especially concerning the deep sounds. With the opener 'Break' and the nicely grooving 'Further' his debut "Free from Code" contains two songs, you easily could present the public as prevoiusly unreleased Creed tracks. ..."
