PATRICK STOREDAHL: Ink Block Fingerprint
If you're looking for a CD with a wide range of songs then you'll want to listen to Ink Block Fingerprint. Perhaps start with Shakin', and then try Punk Rock Band or Yesterday's Shirt, and then try It's Not Easy or Sacramento.
Ink Block Fingerprint is the first solo CD from Patrick Storedahl a multi-instrumentalist from Olympia, WA. He writes and arranges songs, sings, plays guitar and keyboards, along with other things with the band Just Plain Bill. He also plays guitar in the Olympia surf/space/rock instrumental band named Clavilux.
Ink Block Fingerprint contains pop rock songs with hints of alt. country, folk, and weirdness; and sprinkled with influences such as The Kinks, Wilco, The Beatles, The Flaming Lips, Warren Zevon, and Beck.
Patrick played most of the instruments and sang most of the vocals; however, a few friends played some drums, some guitars, and sang a bit. The song Shakin' was chosen to be included on Olympia's "Oly Rocks" CD.
