Description
Swerdlove is an inspirational power-sound of mood and energy. With dynamic range and emotional exploration, this unique indie rock outfit set about capturing the essence of human passion. The music is an incorporation of sublimely structured melodies, intertwining guitar arrangements, and a rhythm section whose endless imagination drives the underbelly of the band.
The group was founded in Baton Rouge, LA by guitarist Scott Gremillion, bassist Scott Bezdek, and drummer Andre Marquette. This original trio saw many face changes over its early career from front men to guest musicians. However, one permanent addition came in 2000 with the induction of ex-Rotating Fonzie guitar player Cole Callihan. In 2002 Swerdlove became complete when bassist Scott Bezdek took on lead vocals, a position he once held as front man for Fonzie. With Gremillion lending his voice to back up vocals and the four-piece in place, Swerdlove began a feverish campaign of writing, recording, and performing as much as possible. With one EP already released, the band is now laying tracks for it's next album.
