Description
Recent years have seen a renewed interest in music for kids. Smarter, hipper, savvier. Like it or not, kids are growing up a lot faster. Chuck Brown is one of those songwriter/artists (pop, new country, Christian, solo piano) who have picked up the gauntlet and run with a passion for kids. His first album for kids: "Yellowberry Jam," released in 2002, is full of clever lyrics and memorable melodies.
While the target audience is Preschool though 2nd Grade, everyone seems to find themselves singing along...toddlers, older siblings and, yes, even parents. It's real music, rather than musical pablum which has so long characterized the genre. As with most kids music, the musical styles range over a broad territory...but what's different here is that the songs are strong before they've even been sung...the performance is just the icing on a very tasty cake. Learning is best when its not terribly obvious, and morality tales are best delivered with a smile. Check out Chuck and his Chuckleberries!
