Description
Born and raised in the Carolinas, Hugo exhibited a talent for writing at an early age.
While attending the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, he decided to make his music the focus of his life.
After performing around the Carolinas for a few years, he left his home to perform regularly in the Florida Keys, kicking off a love affair with South Florida that continues today.
Hugo met and worked with Jimmy Buffett, Dan Fogelberg, Sam Clayton, and others during his tenure in Key West.
He has also shared shows with Charlie Daniels, the Dirt Band, Leon Redbone, and others.
He moved to Key West for a few years, became one of the Island's premier acts, and then packed up and headed for Nashville.
His two current CDs are the result of his work with Nashville Producer/Artist Larry Michael Lee of "Ozark Mountain Daredevils" fame.
The two made magic together in the recording studio, first on "Places Along the Road" and then on "Another Day in Paradise".
After almost 10 years in Nashville, Hugo moved back to his beloved North Carolina and currently resides near the beach around Wilmington.
As usual, Hugo travels quite a lot, performing his music to a growing number of fans, both with The Full Sail Band and as a solo artist.
Hugo's growing numbers of fans really love the songs the man creates. It is not unusual to have their many voices join in during his shows. His accessibility to his fans is one of the reasons they remain so dedicated.
