Each song on "Wonderlust" was written with these twin feelings rushing inside. As a professional songwriter, I write several styles of music, including guitar based country and rock (samples of those songs can be heard at my other website - see link on this page), as well as piano & string based soothing instrumental music. The latter is what you'll discover on this debut CD, Wonderlust. It has been a totally fulfilling experience creating the songs for "Wonderlust". I took a great deal of time and care writing, performing and recording each song on this project. Each composition had to whole heartedly move me inside, to evoke the emotions defined by both wonder and lust, in the hopes they might reach out and touch, and heal others as well.
Sometimes it's difficult to hear the whispers within our souls over the shouts of this world, but this CD was built on the whispers. I recorded dozens of songs for this project over the course of a year, but only the songs that brought me to a better place as I wrote, performed and listened to them, made it onto this project. These songs engender a sense of peace, an honest connection, a healing of some kind within my soul. They're manifestations of the joy of traveling abroad (exploring Italy) and traveling within (the unexpected rush inside upon seeing sunlight shimmering off a swaying pine). I hope these songs touch you as well, and bring you peace, if even just for a moment, as I was blessed to be touched by them...
