Description
Accompanying himself on acoustic guitar, Kyle sings an eclectic mixture of original and popular songs with emphasis on folk and folk-rock styles. His guitar/vocal style has been compared to James Taylor and Dan Fogelberg, but his repertoire includes songs to appeal to listeners with a wide variety of musical tastes.
Much of Kyle's musical development took place during the early-to-mid 70's as he hitchhiked around the country, playing on the street and occasionally in small clubs in San Francisco, Boston, and Detroit. The years since then have seen him involved with a variety of folk, rock, and gospel artists, including "Chadron" (a 70's-style rock band), British/alternative rockers "Kidz X", and "Sweet Discernment" (a gospel quintet). More recently Kyle has become known among Omaha's folk/acoustic artists, performing at such venues as "Downtown Grounds Coffeehouse", "Country Roots Today", and "Earl Bates' Original Acoustic Jam", as well as in coffeehouses around the midwest.
Most of Kyle's original music is inspired by real-life experiences and deals candidly and personally with such subjects as family, relationships, faith, and awareness of social concerns such as homelessness. He hopes you will find his performances moving and challenging as his heart touches your own.
