Description
"These Things Are a Drag" is the first CD released by Roy's Love Virus.
Often referred to by the band as "the divorce album" (due to the fact that almost every song deals with the dark underbelly of romance), this CD has been described in the media as "moody and emotional modern rock that combines a stripped-down dance feel with Adult Alternative riffs and melodies".
Roy's Love Virus was formed in early 1998 by the members of several well-known Northern California bands.
Vocalist/guitarist Jeffry Wynne Prince and drummer Dave "St. Bractune" Meyer have been playing together since their early high school days, when they formed their very first band, Trilogy (creative name, no?).
Since then, they have played in several bands, including Thin Ice, who released 2 critically-acclaimed CD's before their demise in 1997, and Ecce, who crashed and burned before they could realize how bad that name was.
And now, eight years after Trilogy first "graced" the music scene, they have once again teamed up to form Roy's Love Virus.
Rounding out the band is guitarist Phil Sharp, a brilliant player who has been collaborating in various projects with Jeff and Dave since 1991.
